The hugely influential American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is making a timely and historic entrance into the UK with the launch of the ABFF Global Film Series.

Running from the 27th – 29th September 2019, the first instalment will be held at Picturehouse Central in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment.

From screenings, panel discussions and captivating Q&A’s, discover the people encouraging collaboration and promotion between filmmakers throughout the African Diaspora.

The three-day event is an integral part of the international screening series and extension of the leading US event, the ABFF. Brought to you in association with Screen Nation, the leading UK platform helping to raise the profile of black British and international film and TV talent, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy!

Offering a jaw-dropping programme boasting an impressive star-studded line-up, it’s one of the highlight film festival events of the season.

So, get ready to be blown-away by the gala premiere screening of action thriller Black and Blue, starring Naomie Harris and Tyrese Gibson.

Plus, Meagan Good’s directorial debut feature or her crowd-funded sisterhood indie film, If Not Now, When.

What’s more, be one of the first to see the highly-anticipated preview screening of British feature film, Farming. Starring Damson Idris, Kate Beckinsale and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, it’s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s autobiographical directorial debut and one you definitely don’t want to miss.
