Immerse yourself in the sound of movies
Get ready to rediscover the stunning trail of Scenes in the Square statues with Leicester Square’s first official movie audio walking tour, presented by TV’s Alex Zane (Sky Movies, Rude Tube).
Offering a free, film-themed statue trail, Scenes in the Square launched in February 2020 and showcases eight icons from a century of cinema in the heart of Leicester Square. Now, to mark its permanent residency, you can personalise your experience with a step-by-step audio tour of each incredible statue.
Packed with movie clips, trivia, humour and interviews with stars including Paddington’s Hugh Bonneville and Gene Kelly’s wife and biographer Patricia Ward Kelly, the tour is specially designed with social distancing in mind.
So, scour the buildings to find DC’s Super Heroes Batman and Wonder Woman, budge up on a bench next to Paddington and Mr Bean, burst into song with musical stars Mary Poppins and Gene Kelly or career into comedy capers with comedy duo Laurel and Hardy or the brilliant Bugs Bunny.
Whatever you decide, we can’t wait to welcome you back.
